Be ready for the Battle
National Geographic ran an article about the Alaskan bull moose. The males of the species battle for dominance during the fall breeding season, literally going head-to-head with antlers crunching together as they collide. Often the antlers, their only weapon, are broken. That ensures defeat. The heftiest moose, with the largest and strongest antlers, triumphs. Therefore, the battle fought in the fall is really won during the summer, when the moose eats continually. The one that consumes the best diet for growing antlers and gaining weight will be the heavyweight in the fight. Those that eat inadequately sport weaker antlers and less bulk.
If we as Christians follow this strategy, we will be prepared to face any challenge at any time head-on.
The bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
You have to realize that spiritual battles await and Satan will choose a season to attack. Will you be victorious, or will you walk away broken and defeated? Much depends on what you do now - before the wars begin. Here is the bull-moose principle:
Have a goal and clear-cut plan of what you want to see accomplished.
-
Pray and believe God for your vision to come to fruition.
-
Read the bible daily to gain wisdom, and strength.
-
Never, ever give up until you have the victory.
Then, and only then will you see the enemy retreat in defeat and you are assured the prize you've been fighting for.
Back in 1990 our son began to develop warts over parts his body. My wife and I recognized the works of the enemy right away. Immediately we remembered what the scripture says about sickness and disease and the authority that we have over the enemy. We anointed our son with oil and began to pray and believe what the word of God says. Believe it or not, by the next morning he was totally healed. Not one single wart in sight. Hallelujah!! We serve an awesome God who said that my promises are YES and AMEN to him who believes.
So, I encourage you today.... get in the Word of God, so that when Satan is on the prowl in your neighborhood and comes knocking on your door you are well prepared for the battle. Remember, the weapons God has given you to fight with are not carnal, nor are they weak, but they are mighty in God and yes, you will pull down those strongholds in Jesus Name.
God Bless
